The charity for this year's term is the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) which is an organization that helps kids with type one diabetes, also know as Juvenile diabetes, which is a lifelong disease. They are currently researching a cure for type one diabetes and they offer fully funded scholarships for kids to attend camps to learn more about this disease. I thought of JDRF because not only are they trying to find a cure, but my brother has been affected by this disease for over 17 years. He never went to a camp, but they are still impacting his life with the research being done! I hope Michigan Rainbow and our precious moments can help everyone's dreams come true!
